WALK IN THE SPIRIT PT 3
2 Timothy 3:16-17 AMPC 16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), 17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Psalm 19:7-11 NLT 7 The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living. 9 Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair. 10 They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. 11 They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.
I’m going to continue today talking about the importance of the Word of God and renewing our mind. It is the only way we can walk in the Spirit rather than our flesh. According to 2 Timothy the Spirit breathed every Word in Scripture and it is profitable to instruct you, to convict you of your sins, correct your wrong thinking and help you be obedient to His will and train you in holy living in conformity to His will.
God will not put sickness on you to teach you something. You may learn something from it and God will work things out for your good if you are His child but if you would get into His Word, He will teach you through it rather than sickness or hard knocks or some terrible trial you are going through.
You have to take responsibility for your part in things happening in your life. God is always speaking and you will hear from Him much better if you are in His Word studying and meditating on it. Remember, His Word is your instruction manual for everyday and every situation.
In the portion of Scripture from Psalm 19, God will restore the whole person, give understanding to the simple, and enlighten the eyes. His Words are true and righteous and are to be desired more than gold. His Word is full of hidden treasure that you must dig for and will receive great reward by doing so.
Thank You Father for the divine inspired Word of God that you have given to me to help me in my everyday walk with You. I declare Your Word is of great value and I will dig into it to receive all that You desire to give me through the study and meditation of Your Word and I will receive great reward. In Jesus’ name Amen.
