WALK IN THE SPIRIT PT 4
Psalm 34:15 NLT says, 15 The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right;
his ears are open to their cries for help.
Jude AMPC 20-21 20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit; 21 Guard and keep yourselves in the love of God; expect and patiently wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)—[which will bring you] unto life eternal.
2 Corinthians 5:7 NLT 7 For we live by believing and not by seeing.
Today I want to talk about how to walk in the Spirit daily and experience God’s power. I have a list of five things to do.
1.) Remove what is slowing you down. We have many distractions that interfere with our walk in the Spirit. We need to be aware of those distractions and not let them lead you astray. Don’t walk by sight but by the Spirit.
2.) Invest daily time with the Lord and His Word. I talked about the importance of the Word of God the last few times. It is our handbook for life.
3.) Train yourself to choose the Spirit instead of your feelings. This is a big one. This is where most Christians get off track. We are moved by our feelings and things in the natural instead of focusing on what the Word of God says especially with healing. God has already provided healing to us on the cross the same as salvation. We have to believe and receive what is in our spirit instead of what we are feeling in the natural. Walking in the Spirit is living from who we are and knowing what we have in Christ.
4.) Strengthen your spirit through prayer. He hears our prayers according to Psalm 34:15 and in Jude it tells us to pray building ourselves up in our most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. I believe this is mostly praying in tongues, our holy language and also, praying according to the leading of the Spirit.
5.) Act on what God is telling you. Walking in the Spirit is about consistency. That means to be in harmony with the Spirit and being in agreement with Him. We walk in the Spirit by believing not by seeing.
Thank You Father for the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, leading us, strengthening us, and hearing our prayers. I want to walk in the Spirit daily and experience Your power. In Jesus name Amen.
