WALK IN THE SPIRIT PT 6

Matt 4:3-4,7, 10 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” 7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written:‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’

Today I am talking about #2 on how to walk in the Spirit daily and experience God’s power. #2 is invest daily time with the Lord and His Word. It is important to invest time in the Word. Jesus gave us an example in Matthew 4 when He was tempted in the desert.

When the devil tempted Him, Jesus said, “It is written…” If we are not spending time in the Word of God, we will not be able to use it against the devil when He tempts us. Jesus gives us authority against the devil and part of that is speaking the Word of God.

The Word tells us to submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7). You will learn how to submit to God and resist the devil by studying the Word of God. Study it, meditate on it, confess it, and victory will come.

Thank You Father for giving me Your Word so I can have victory in my life as I meditate, study, and confess it and use it against the devil when he tempts me. It is written…In Jesus’ name amen.
