HOLY SPIRIT IS ALL YOU NEED

John 14:16-17 AMPC 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever—17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.

I have been talking about how to walk in the Spirit and not in your flesh. I think I got ahead in my teaching. I need to actually introduce you to Holy Spirit, who He is and what He does for us. As this Scripture states, Jesus said He would ask the Father to give us another Comforter and He will remain with us forever.

The Holy Spirit is a person, part of the trinity. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Teaching on the trinity is a hard one to teach. Just know that Holy Spirit is also God, They are three in One. We have one God. Father and Jesus are in heaven, the Holy Spirit is dwelling in us. He always leads us to Jesus, and Jesus leads us to the Father.

The Amplified states that the Comforter is our Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby. Also, He is the Spirit of Truth. I will talk about all of these characteristics and other characteristics in the coming weeks. Today, I am going to talk about Holy Spirit being our Comforter.

I want to first mention that if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit dwells within you. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit (2 Cor. 3:16). He dwells within you to give you relief in affliction; consolation; and solace. He will soothe you and reassure you in this trying time of your life. He will alleviate your sorrow and distress. He will lead you in the way to go. He will teach you all things and will cause you to recall His Word in your time of need. Just remember the Comforter is always with you and in you to help you. Just call out to Him and He will comfort you.

Father, I thank You for sending the Comforter to dwell in me and give me relief in affliction, consolation, and solace. He alleviates my sorrow and distress and leads me in the way I should go. He will teach me all things and cause me to recall the Word in my times of need. Thank You. In Jesus name Amen.
