SPIRIT OF TRUTH PT 1

John 14:17 AMPC 17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.

I am continuing my study on Holy Spirit. There is so much to learn about Him and we need to know these things because Holy Spirit is the One who lives within us. We need to understand who He is and what He does for us and in us.

The Spirit of Truth is a title given to the Holy Spirit by Jesus. It means that the Holy Spirit is the ultimate source, revealer, and protector of divine truth. He is entirely trustworthy, reliable, and incapable of falsehood.

In the original Greek text of the Bible, the word for truth is alethes, which refers to something that is stable, unchangeable, and open (the opposite of hidden or deceptive). Therefore, the Spirit of Truth is the essential nature that uncovers spiritual reality and helps believers distinguish God’s truth from worldly confusion.

So, if you are a believer in Jesus and are confused in situations, you need to ask Holy Spirit to speak the truth to you and guide you out of confusion into the truth. Holy Spirit will always help us to understand the deep spiritual meanings of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. The world has no clue about Holy Spirit. They do not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you constantly and will be in you.

He will never leave us and will always be speaking to us. We need to listen for His voice and be obedient to what He says and follow Him. He loves us and wants us to know and become like Jesus. There are many other Scriptures that I will talk about concerning the Spirit of Truth in the coming days.

Father, thank You for sending Holy Spirit to live in me, to lead me to the truth and not be confused in this world. Thank You Holy Spirit for guiding and directing my life and teaching me all I need to know about Jesus and walk as He walked. In Jesus name Amen.
